Simplify Design of Stormwater Systems

CULTEC (www.cultec.com) has launched a new StormGenie™ automated drawing program, allowing customers to generate project-specific AutoCAD® drawings for the company’s Contactor® and Recharger® retention and detention stormwater systems. Designed to simplify the stormwater system’s design phase, CULTEC StormGenie works in conjunction with the company’s Stormwater Design Calculator. It generates automatic CAD drawings in three simple steps:

Input a project’s stormwater design parameters into CULTEC Stormwater Design Calculator, available at:
http://www.cultec.com/sdc.html,

choose the Recharger or Contactor model that will be specified for the project, and save the spreadsheet. This will provide such data as a list of required materials, bed area, provided storage, cost estimate, and incremental storage.

●  Select CULTEC StormGenie on the AutoCAD toolbar and open the saved spreadsheet.

StormGenie will automatically create a CAD drawing that can be incorporated into the engineer’s plans. The drawings will include retention or detention bed layouts, correct chamber sizing and center-to-center spacing, dimensional call-outs, and hatching.

CULTEC StormGenie is a convenient tool for engineers, contractors, and landscape architects to create preliminary system proposals without spending a lot of time. The program also provides a quick way to draw accurate bed layouts that can be modified into irregular-sized beds.

Customers must have the latest version of CULTEC Stormwater Design Calculator IMP 2009-1 and the full AutoCAD 2008 or a later version to run the CULTEC StormGenie program.

StormGenie is available for download at http://www.cultec.com/stormgenie.html.
